Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in theTelecoms, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LISBON:CTT), which rose 1.71% or 0.1580 points to trade at 9.3910 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS (LISBON:ALSS) added 0.78% or 0.0270 points to end at 3.4700 and Banco BPI (LISBON:BBPI) was up 0.43% or 0.0045 points to 1.0415 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA), which fell 2.74% or 0.0645 points to trade at 2.2875 at the close. Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA) declined 2.39% or 0.0130 points to end at 0.5300 and Pharol SGPS SA (LISBON:PHRA) was down 2.07% or 0.0080 points to 0.3790.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 46 to 19 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 2.59% or 1.60 to $60.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.34% or 1.33 to hit $55.60 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.30 to trade at $1167.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1092, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.7125.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 96.26.
